Acupuncture, herbs, and body work rooted in traditional East Asian medicine principles and mindfulness.
Restore ease. Live fully. Sea change.

Get to Know Me
My approach is to be fully present with you, as I ground in the values of partnership, self-care and community. I partner with you and your other providers for a collaborative approach. I emphasize self-care as I support you to nurture wellness and wholeness. (I also make sure to care for myself so I can show up wholely for you.) And, to me, community care is essential - serving the larger community is part of how I design my practice.
I have a gentle technique combining multiple modalities to provide a trauma-informed, anti-racist and gender-inclusive experience. I work to help your body heal itself, removing blockages and nourishing your vitality.
I’ve been a South Seattle resident since 2017 and find joy in bodies of water, hiking, wordplay, and solving puzzles.
Let’s dive in and journey to wholeness together.

Your Questions, Answered

This medicine is all about communication with your innate healing mechanism. Filament (tiny needle) insertion at specific points on the body tells your body to unblock the circulation of qi and blood along your channel pathways. Restoring balance helps you return to your authentic and whole self, in body, mind and spirit.

In the first visit, I spend time to get to know as much as I can about what you’re experiencing, thru conversation and physical palpation techniques. We’ll talk about your goals, and what techniques you’re comfortable with (needles, Teishin, herbs, Tuina, cupping, moxibustion), and I’ll recommend a treatment plan that may include advice on what you can do at home on your own (nutrition, exercises, lifestyle).
The number of visits required will depend on each client’s unique situation, but generally, chronic diseases will require more visits, and faster results require more frequent visits. I recommend you book at least two visits to track changes.

My journey has zig zagged across the terrain, trying to find my way - working in small nonprofits, large foundations, public health, design and more. The path has taken me here, to work one on one with folks in my community using medicine that is centuries old. One small act at a time, as we heal ourselves, we nurture a healthy and vibrant community, sparking a sea change for the better. Plus, I like puns..

I take Personal Injury Protection insurance. I do not currently take other health insurance yet, but can give you a superbill (ex: for Community Health Plan of Washington) to submit for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company for your acupuncture benefits and if they accept out-of-network providers.
As a commitment to accessibility, I offer reduced rates of $80 or $100 (per 60 min) to up to 20% of my patients for those who have financial constraints. Please email me to be approved for the reduced rate. While I do not ask you to prove your financial level, I ask that you consider sacrifice vs. hardship when determining your capacity pay. Sacrifice entails cutting back on other spending like coffee, dinner out, new outfit, while hardship entails not being able to meet basic needs like rent, transportation, and groceries.
Thank you to Dr. Kirby Teuila Grey, Dr. Ryan of Gentle Point Acupuncture, and Dr. Aakash Kishore PhD for the wording and model.
